High tide at 1700, got down to Inn on the Beach spot about 1300, after \"interesting\" trip involving theurbanmonk.blogspot.com. Two guys out, wind coming up, out on 5.5m. Rigged 5.5 with some trepidation, got out through shorebreak, going ok! Had harness lines too backward on port tack (coming in), but felt good. Gybing performance considerably improved, also did some intentional jumps that worked pretty well. after about 20 mins came to beach upwind of Inn-on-t-Beach, since it was looking extremely squally and didn\'t want to get hammered. Stood out for big squall, then struggled thru shorebreak with a couple of tumbles. Insufficiently aggressive!! Then did weird catapult about 100yds offshore, and found sail had derigged since top cap had come undone. Ended up spending 10mins paddling ashore with kit, damned hard work. Derigged, rigged 4.7, went out but by then wind really huge, 4.0 weather, so came back and finished up. Took 5.5 to Andy Biggs for new webbing. Moderate overall, but very successful technically.
